Day 1 - MOSHI

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport where our team will be awaiting you. Drive one hour to the town of Moshi to check into our Kilibase Hotel

Day 2 - MOSHI TO TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

Depart Moshi around 9:00 am and take a scenic two hour drive to Tarangire National Park. Once you arrive, pop the roof of the car and begin your first game drive. Spot elephants, ostrich, zebras, giraffes, lions and wildebeests. After wrapping up the game drive, head to the Ngorongoro Economy Lodge. Relax with a glass of wine while you watch 'Bush TV' (the campfire).

Day 3 - TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

Awake to an incredible view of the sun rising beyond your Lodge as your sip your morning tea. Depart for an early-morning game drive then head back to the lodge for a refreshing lunch as the animals retreat to cooler shade during the hot mid-day sun. Head out for an evening game drive and spot more of Tanzania's magnificent animals in their natural habitat.

Day 4 - TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK TO SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

After a delicious breakfast, spot more wildlife as you drive the four hours from Tarangire National Park to Serengeti National Park. Arrive at the Serengeti Nabil Gate by early afternoon. Eat lunch and head out for your first game drive in the Serengeti, home to the greatest animal migration in the world. After dinner at Robin Tented Lodge be sure to enjoy the blanket of stars covering the sky.

Day 5 - SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

Keep your camera and binoculars close by as you explore all that the Serengeti has to offer! Spot wildebeests, zebras, impalas and gazelles, as well predators like lions, cheetahs, jackals and hyenas! Return to Robin Tented Lodge for an authentic Tanzanian dinner.

Day 6 - SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK TO NGORONGORO CRATER

Complete a morning game drive before beginning the scenic two hour journey to the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Ngorongoro Crater was formed over 3 million years ago by an imploded volcano and is now a conservation area home to rhinos, lions and water buffalo. Stay at Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge, perched at the top of the crater, and enjoy an early dinner and view of the sun setting over the crater.

Day 7 - NGORONGORO CRATER TO MOSHI

Wake up early to the morning fog surrounding the camp grounds which will quickly burn away as you watch the sun rise over the crater. Begin the descent into the crater and pass through four distinct climate zones, including a flourishing jungle full of playful monkeys swinging through the trees. Continue your game drive through the crater, home to rhinos, lions, water buffalo and zebras. Head toward the lake, where you'll see hippos and an area coloured pink by the flamingos wading in the water. Return to the camp for lunch before starting the four hour drive back to Arusha.

Day 8 - MOSHI

Enjoy one last Tanzania coffee and say goodbye to Moshi. OneSeed will provide airport transportation for all international departures.

What the itinerary covers

  • Accommodation: Your stay throughout the safari will be covered, usually in lodges or tented camps. These accommodations are designed for comfort and provide easy access to the wildlife areas.
  • Meals: Most safaris include meals, usually full board (breakfast, lunch, and dinner). Drinks are sometimes included, particularly bottled water during game drives. Be sure to check your specific itinerary for details.
  • Transportation: Your transportation to and from game drives is usually included in the itinerary. This is usually done in a specially designed 4x4 safari vehicle for optimal wildlife viewing and photography.
  • Park entrance fees: Park entrance fees and any other required government fees are usually covered by the safari company.
  • Activities: The activities listed in your itinerary, such as game drives, guided walks, and village visits, are usually included.

Plan for separately

  • International Flights: Flights to and from your safari destination usually are not included.
  • Visa Fees: You will likely need to pay for a visa to enter the country where you’ll be going on safari.
  • Gratuities: Tipping your guides, cooks, and other staff is customary, though not mandatory.
  • Drinks: While bottled water might be included during game drives, other drinks such as sodas, alcohol, and specialty coffees may not be.
  • Laundry: Laundry services are usually not included in the safari price.
  • Personal Expenses: Souvenirs, phone calls, internet access, and other personal expenses are your responsibility.
  • Travel Insurance: Travel insurance is highly recommended to protect yourself in case of unexpected events.
